The priest was a great role model for me and the
nuns that taught at my grade school truly showed God’s love
for the parish in their selfless dedication and service.
Even though the sacrifice of not having a wife and
kids is difficult, there is great joy because the priest has the
whole parish as his family. The priests who I have known have truly
loved their vocations.
I am in my first year at St. John’s Seminary. I’m
growing closer to Christ everyday through the Mass, Sacraments and
prayer. I think it’s awesome that we are mindful of Christ
in all that we do including playing sports, community nights and
our studies here in the seminary.
I’m not totally sure if God wants me to be a priest someday.
They say you don’t know until the Bishop lays his hands on
you at ordination, but I do know that this is where God wants me
to be for now, in order to discern His will more fully in my life
